Do We Bring Laptops to Sessions?

This year will be my first Drupalcon. Is it common for folks to bring a laptop into a session to maybe work along with the presenter? Will there be wireless access during sessions?

There will be blood

if there is no wireless…

There's WiFi

The convention center wifi is free, open and broadcasting in 802.11 a/b/g with no WEP or WPA enabled. There are 109 access points in the facility. We’ll have power strips for battery recharging in each of the session rooms, the break rooms and hallways — but with upwards to 700 people expected to attend, I’d recommend bringing your own power strip and a spare battery if you have it.

@SOOZ, what do you mean by

@SOOZ, what do you mean by power strip? A plug for the wall or outlet? Sorry for such a silly question.

here's what I mean ...

Hey there. Sorry I didn’t see your question sooner.

Power strip = a multi-outlet strip that you plug into a wall outlet that then lets you connect more than one device to it.

Here’s a photo of one …
