PepperAlley Productions

Gus Austin is the owner of PepperAlley Productions, a Los Angeles based production company that’s released original music, produced events, and has built several websites for indie artists and producers. In 2006, Gus discovered Drupal during his quest to find the ideal framework to deliver, distribute, and promote engaging content for himself and other independent musicians, filmmakers, photographers, and event producers. Since then, he’s been hooked on the amazing Drupal community and the idea(l) of creating products that empower producers, consumers, toolbuilders, educators, and multitudes of others that can do the world good.

Born and bred in Medfield (MA), Mr. Austin will always hold dear to him the Sox, Pats (well…might give that a rest for a bit), J. Geils, Aerosmith, and ‘BCN (when it didn’t suck).

Financial assistance needed?
Here's why I need help:
Over the past year I've spent a great deal of time trying to shape an agenda, process, and eventual business model around open Drupal development and project oriented learning. I've been very active in the Drupal Dojo, the Los Angeles user group, and greater Drupalsphere. With a focus on content production, distribution, and marketing, my Drupal goals have been more about creating/enabling 'web real estate/drupal products' that would be available to all (including myself, clients, and partners). With the advent of the Drupal Dojo, the idea(l) of openly developing Drupal products (and simultaneously providing a valuable learning, training, and marketing experience) was something I couldn't pass up. Having said that, getting up to speed as a 'successful' indie Drupal consultant has been a bit slow going. While there are some consulting projects starting up (some that will be 'openly developed'), some proposals in progress, my current client work leaves a bit to be desired. Any sort of contribution (sponsorship I'd rather call it) will enable me travel to Boston (my hometown) and spend more time contributing to essential Drupal/Dojo learning, mentoring, and outreach programs. The fundraising link provides more detail to what I've done and plan to do. I hope to add a great deal of value to the Drupal community and economy.
