Will Mar 6 be a full day of sessions?

I’ll be flying back to the west coast and I’m trying to figure out whether I need to stay over until Mar 7 and fly out then. From the Barcelona schedule, I see that the last day of sessions went until 6PM. Is it expected that it will be the same for this DrupalCon?

Can we see the schedule?

It would be helpful for planning purposes…

Coming very soon

Hi, I hope to have the schedule confirmed shortly. We should have a draft in the next day or two.

Planning my hotel around which days I'll be there.

I’m registered for the conference and was wondering when the session schedule will be finalized. Because of work/family commitments I won’t be able to attend all four days and am trying to plan where I can get my best ‘bang for the buck’. I am trying to hold off booking my hotel until the schedule is finalized since I don’t know yet which days I’ll be there. Thanks.

Schedule Unlikely to Have Workshops Listed

jPowell and all,

I presume that when Kieran publishes the conference schedule it won’t have the names of the workshops/presenters, yet, because the session proposal deadline is not until Feb. 11! The exception to that would be any sessions that are for sure to happen, even in advance of the committee meeting, like Dries “State-of-Drupal.”

Schedule

You can see the overview schedule on the program page. it doesn’t list specific sessions but will let you know when things are happening in general. Once the sessions are selected, then things will start to fall into place.

For now the schedule is available as a Google Calendar and PDFs. Eventually it will be built into the website.

Thanks

This is my first DrupalCon and I’m looking forward to it. I wish I could stay all four days and that would certainly make booking the hotel easy. Just trying to juggle everything and I appreciate everyone’s input!

I'm being anal

I was thinking that the conference wouldn’t get in to full swing until Tues morning so I booked my flight for Monday meaning I won’t get to Boston until 5pm. According to the calendar PDFs, Monday will be a full day of sessions. Is that definitely the plan? I’ve got to get funding re-approval if I’m coming in a day earlier so I want to be absolutely positive I need to.

P.S. Hi Boris!

Yup -- a full day on Monday

There will be a full day of sessions every day of the conference: Monday through Thursday. Morning coffee and registration happens on Monday 8-9am. Then the first bunch of tutorials happen at 9am. Dries’ keynote happens at 11am (after a mid-morning break).

I’m going to write up the schedule in another post … we’ll have a better calendar view on the website soon (especially once the sessions are selected and assigned dates/times).
