Co-Located Event Offers Open Source Web Content Management Platform Education and Networking for Drupal Developers

Newton, MA, January 29, 2008 – The AIIM International Exposition & Conference (www.aiimexpo.com), the largest, most comprehensive content and information management event in North America, today announced that Drupalcon Boston 2008 (boston2008.drupalcon.org) will be co-located. Drupal is a popular open source web publishing and collaboration platform, used by organizations including Sony BMG Records, Yahoo!, and The United Nations. The Drupal community consists of thousands of contributors from all over the world, who work together daily to make Drupal the most scalable, flexible, extensible, and secure content management platform. Co-location with the AIIM International Exposition & Conference offers expanded education and networking opportunities to Drupal developers, business owners, and clients seeking Drupal expertise. Both conferences will take place at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, March 3-6.

The AIIM International Exposition & Conference will also co-locate with the ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition (www.ondemandexpo.com), the preeminent event for commercial printers, publishers, and in-plant printing professionals, and the Xplor Document University Global Conference & Exhibition (www.xplor.org/xdu2008).

Dries Buytaert, Drupal creator, president of the Drupal Association, and CTO of Acquia, Inc., will present the Drupalcon keynote presentation on Monday, March 3, at 11:00 AM. The Drupal conference program will have four tracks—Site Building, Design & User Experience, Marketing & Business, Community & Core—with six 90-minute tutorials and ten 45-minute sessions, as well as a variety of “Birds of a Feather” sessions. In addition, Drupalcon will include a Drupal Job Fair on March 3 and a special social event on March 4. All Drupalcon Boston 2008 attendees will have access to the AIIM Expo exhibit hall.

Beth Torrey, event director, Questex Media Group, said “It is a win-win to bring Drupalcon together with the AIIM International Exposition & Conference, the ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition and the Xplor Document University Global Conference & Exhibition. Together these events create the world’s largest information, digital printing, document and content management event.”

“The Drupal Association is committed to growing and developing the worldwide Drupal community through high quality events,” said Drupal’s Buytaert. “And we’re excited to co-locate Drupalcon Boston 2008 with the AIIM International Exposition & Conference. Joining forces with AIIM introduces Drupal to a new audience and offers the Drupal community access to the leading content and information management event in North America.”
