Andrew Kelly has an extensive background in planning, constructing and managing collaborative developer communities. Prior to founding Cognisync, Andrew managed CollabNet’s Developer Network Practice. During his tenure at CollabNet he was involved in the design and management of developer developer communities such as Sun’s Java.net, Red Hat’s 108 and BEA’s CodeShare, to name a few. Much of his experience was also focused on designing, building and managing corporate-sponsored open source communities such as Intel’s Tianocore, Autodesk-sponsored OSGEO and Ball Aerospace’s Ballforge. In addition to building communities he has helped companies such as Intel, Motorola, Lucent and Nokia formulate strategies to leverage their developer communities.
Prior to his work at CollabNet Andrew spent time at EDS and IBM Global Services managing software development projects. Outside of the IT industry Andrew served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and as a volunteer in the U.S.Peace Corps in their economic development program.
Andrew holds a B.A. in Mathematics, B.S. in Meteorology and an MBA in Finance and is PMI-certified.
