Brian McMurray, a web and interactive application developer, graduated with highest honors from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia. He has developed large-scale web applications and websites for clients such as the Museum of Broadcast Communications and Martin Engineering. He has recently pioneered a system for combining the interactivity of Adobe Flash with the popular website content management system Drupal, to make interactive Flash sites extremely easy to maintain, able to have specific pages bookmarked by visitors, and accessible to search engines for better search results. In addition to web development, Brian has created many interactive desktop applications and award-winning applications for mobile devices. Brian’s DiggMob is an interactive Flash Lite application for cellphones for the popular social news website, Digg.com and was a recent Top 10 finalist in a 2007 competition for innovative interfaces to Digg.com. He is an active user, supporter, and developer of open-source software.
He has worked for clients including Maui Jim, Inc., The Shedd Aquarium, Test America, Martin Engineering, Alan Ross Machinery, The Iona Group, Inc., Caterpillar, Inc., Pioneer Hi-Bred, Black Bros. Co., Irons Oaks, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, River City Construction and the Museum of Broadcast Communications in a variety of roles including web development, system administration, web application development, and interactive development.
