I recently joined the Drupal community through the Google Highly Open Participation contest. I have been impressed with everything I have seen and plan to use Drupal on several projects I am currently working on. I also plan on continuing to work with the Drupal community and make contributions were I see fit.
I have already contributed two modules: Click heatmap and Version Control API — Git backend. I plan on maintaining the modules and help jpetso with the Version Control API. I recently integrated the ClickHeat administration/heatmap review interface into Drupal and release the 2.x branch of my module. I like to write code and will create any other modules that seem to be needed or interest me. I also plan to work in the Drupal paid services arena and contribute any custom modules to the community.
I am a self taught developer. I began my quest about eight years ago by learning HTML. As my knowledge grew I eventually came to learn HTML/XML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Java, C++, C#, .NET, etc. I have been a member of several winning computer competition teams and spend a large amount of my free time web developing.
I am in the top 5% of my high school class of over 400 and have completed a year of college courses before graduating high school. I have received a scholarship to pay my tuition to the University of Nebraska at Omaha and will be studying in the Computer Science department (The Peter Kiewit Institute).
I would really like to attend Drupalcon Boston 2008, possibly see my SimpleTest Presentation, help present the Click heatmap module as suggested, and meet all the great people I have worked with over the past few months.
