Palantir.net is a Chicago-based Web development firm that has developed a full range of custom interactive Web sites, database applications, and software. Our goal is to change the way people share information by employing new media technologies that empower and enable end-users through seamless, highly functional interactive experiences.

We are seeking smart and talented Web developers, interaction designers, and PHP/MySQL programmers to help build Drupal-based Web sites and Web-based applications for a variety of clients, including corporate, educational, cultural, and not-for-profits. We also have Nerf guns. And a Wii.

Designer/developer applicants should have at least 3-5 years of experience designing and building Web sites using clean, standards-compliant DIV and CSS-based layout, as well as a bachelor’s degree in a design or communications-related field. The position will consist largely of developing and implementing themes using Drupal, so some familiarity with PHP is also a plus. Qualified candidates should be able to provide a portfolio and reference URLs.

Programmer applicants should have at least 3-5 years of experience programming with PHP and MySQL in a disciplined software development environment as well as a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Zend PHP Certification is a plus. Qualified candidates should be able to provide code samples.

We are willing to consider telecommuters on a contract basis, but prefer that full-time team members work on-site.
