Drupalcon Boston 2008 Logo Contest

Platinum and gold sponsors

We’re having a design contest for the Drupalcon Boston 2008 logo! The winner gets the pride that comes from seeing their logo used on the conference t-shirt, and in promotion on the Drupalcon site and elsewhere.

There is very little time left before the conference, so the contest has a short fuse.
Entries must be submitted by January 25, 2008!

Technical Details
The design will be used on white, black, and colored backgrounds. It will be used on a white background on name tags, leaflets and any other public materials. We would prefer to make black T-shirts; so the logo should work well on black. (If you have a preferred T-shirt color, please indicate it in your submission.) And it will be added (in place of the default Drupal Drop) to the Theme for this site (which places it on a light blue gradient background.) We will use full color printing if necessary, but designs that do not require 4 color printing will be preferred (as it keeps T-shirt costs lower.)

Designs should initially be submitted as low resolution JPG or PNG files (height and width 500px maximum). The winning design must be provided either as an Illustrator or Photoshop native format file (.ai, .psd, or .eps) (which must be furnished immediately upon being selected.)

Of course, the entries that are variations on the Drupal Drop are most likely to win.

Legal
You will be asked to transfer your copyright in the design so it can be properly protected for the benefit of the conference and community. Your design also must not include any other copyrighted materials for which any license is required. Don’t include anything which might possibly cause offense.

Design selection
Visitors to this site will be able to vote to indicate their preference for the best design. The local Drupalcon Boston 2008 organizing team will select the final winnner; community preference will be a key factor among several others in selecting the winning design. The selection will be made within a few days after the submission date close (25 January 2008).
