Logo Contest Entries

This was done with to be like Mr. New York.. haha with the sun glasses with the NYC skyline, however I went with the Boston Skyline for Mr. Boston - Drupalcon.

Had some fun with it. Hope you all like it.

Here’s something we worked up at pingVision. The graphic artist is our own Don Hajicek.

Yeah, we played with the Drupal drop a bit. We totally wanted to dig into something special for Boston and the event.
Some keywords for us: tea party, D party, tea pot, Mrs. Potts, sea, nautical, spillage, Drupal fantasy.

The logo is something that can work in black and white, 2 color, and beyond. It can be stripped down to an icon, next to serious copywriting, or blown up to fill a big poster.

(We also want to express an interest in helping out with signs, posters, brochures, name tags, etc.)

This submission is the work of two people, Marc and Andy, and we’ll be blogging about our design process and showing some early sketches and mock-ups over at OpenYourArt.info, so you should subscribe if you’re into that kind of thing. I realize this is very late, but I wanted to submit anyway! Hope you like it! It’s fully vectorized and all in grayscale for easy printing/viewing on black or white bg.

I don’t have the graphic design skills to pull it off myself… But I’d really like to see the logo connect the Cradle of Liberty to Drupal’s sense of independence. Faneuil Hall itself, or the more widely recognizable Bunker Hill Monument, would do - any other ideas? I know there’s a submission with a tricorner hat on our familiar Drupal logo, where my vote rests at the moment, but I’d like to see something a little… more. Perhaps the classic Copley portrait of Paul Revere, with a new (blue) head?
