Drupal blimp in vector.

Thought it was a funny play on words. My graphic skills are minimal and I thought it would look cool if there was a large boat behind the druplicon.

I used the “standard” colors of Drupal, but in a new environment. The new environment is the downtown of Boston (of course).
The Drupal Face Logo and the buildings were put together.
“Drupalcon 2008 Boston” at the bottom of the picture.

The logo portion of the design incorporates a B (for Boston) D (for Drupal) and a stylized suggestion of the Drupal logo to form an 8 (which also appears as the meeting of two dialog balloons). The logo is dynamic and flowing and emphasizes connection and communication. The playful use of light and dark(positive and negative) engages the eyes and the mind.

First iteration, simple type with Boston skyline in black. Works well on t-shirt, web site, etc.

Combining the best CMS with the best baseball team. Ever. Will grant all Drupalcon attendees the love, respect and understanding of Bostonians. Forever.

Anyone is welcome to improve upon this idea…please. If graphic design were a vitamin, I’d have scurvy.

The Latin text is not fixed and can be changed freely. The logo is completely vectorized.
